Bad update :(
I should start off by saying, I dont think Ive ever left a 1 star review for anything. Ever.
What happened.. did you guys hire a junior UX designer and hand them the reigns?
Sigh... where to begin. Heres everything that had been working and is now broken by this update, that Ive noticed so far. Ive only had this update for a day or so, Im sure Ill keep updating the list:
- why did the stop button go away in the running task screen??? To stop a running task now required to interactions vs only one before. Why make things more complicated?
- biggest thing is that autocomplete no longer works. This is HUGE. Ive been using your service both personally and professionally for the past few months and I will stop shortly without this feature. Please fix.
- the sliding drawer that reveals the settings by sliding from the left. Disable this or reduce the gesture recognition area greatly. When modifying start/end times and swiping up & down, the drawer keeps trying to reveal the settings menu. If the settings menu was something I used very often, this might be understandable but Ive opened the setting only two or three times in the thousands of times Ive opened and used the app. This is not a useful feature, I can tap the top left icon to reveal the settings if I need to; I dont need it accessible from any point on the screen.
- can no longer choose a start day when creating a new task. Sometimes tasks spill continue past midnight. If I forget to start a task, I now cant start one beginning on the previous day.
- the start/end time validation. Under certain circumstances the app opens a popup saying the times are invalid. For example if you set the end time before the start time, it will pop up letting you know thats not valid. This makes adjusting times very annoying because you naturally could scroll the time wheel to an earlier hour before being able to adjust the minutes. If you dont want to revert your changes on this one, at least make the validation text appear in a non-modal format - perhaps a red banner at the top or bottom that disappears when the fields are valid. This way the user can get into an intermediary invalid state and not have to constantly be tapping the OK button on the way to the desired time value.
I hope you guys didnt bork the apps on the other platforms as badly. Im not a designer but as a user of the app, these issues bring me great frustration.
